WPDConverter began as a personal project. Its creator's father had spent decades writing — letters, stories, essays, research — all stored in thousands of WordPerfect files. When the time came to preserve that lifetime of work, there was no good way to do it. Cloud converters demanded uploading everything to unknown servers. Desktop tools handled one file at a time. Nothing could process an entire archive at once while keeping every document private and local.
