1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using WPD Converter ("the Software"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Software.

2. License Grant

Upon purchase of a valid license, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to:

Install and use the Software on one (1) computer
Use the Software for personal or commercial purposes
Receive updates to version 1.x of the Software

3. Trial Version

The free trial version of WPD Converter provides full functionality for a limited evaluation of up to 25 file conversions. After the trial limit, you must purchase a license to continue using the Software.

4. Restrictions

You may NOT:

Copy, modify, or distribute the Software
Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Software
Rent, lease, or lend the Software to third parties
Use a single license on multiple computers simultaneously
Remove or alter any proprietary notices or labels
Use the Software for any unlawful purpose

5. Intellectual Property

The Software and all copies thereof are proprietary to WPD Converter and title remains with us. All rights in the Software not specifically granted in this agreement are reserved. The Software is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

6. Third-Party Components

WPD Converter includes LibreOffice components licensed under the Mozilla Public License (MPL). The source code for these components is available upon request. Your use of these components is subject to their respective licenses.

7. Payment and Refunds

Payment: All payments are processed securely through Stripe. Prices are in USD and are subject to change without notice.

Refund Policy: We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee. If you are not satisfied with the Software for any reason, contact us within 30 days of purchase for a full refund. After 30 days, refunds are provided at our discretion.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NONINFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SOFTWARE WILL BE ERROR-FREE OR UNINTERRUPTED.

9. Limitation of Liability

IN NO EVENT SHALL WE BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SOFTWARE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE SOFTWARE.

10. Data Processing

WPD Converter processes all document conversions locally on your computer. We do not have access to your files, and your documents are never uploaded to any server. You are solely responsible for the content of your documents and for maintaining appropriate backups.

11. Updates

Your license includes free updates to version 1.x of the Software. Major version upgrades (e.g., version 2.0) may require a separate purchase or upgrade fee.

12. Termination

This license is effective until terminated. Your rights under this license will terminate automatically without notice if you fail to comply with any of its terms. Upon termination, you must destroy all copies of the Software in your possession.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

14. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of any material changes by posting the updated Terms on our website. Your continued use of the Software after such changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
